Notice of Public Comment Period for CDBG-DR Grant Application
The Town of West Jefferson will be opening a public comment period to collect comments regarding an application for Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery grant Commercial District Revitalization program. The proposed project will improve the sidewalk and develop a multi-use path along a 1.2-mile section of S Jefferson Ave between Beaver Creek School Rd and East Buck Mountain Rd. The public comment period will open on July 13, 2026 and comments are due July 23, 2026 at 5:00 pm. A project description and comment instructions will be posted at townofwjnc.com in the “Announcements” section of thew homepage beginning July 13,2026. All interested parties are invited to submit a written comment.
